How We Test

A product runs for at least four weeks where the claim requires it, in daylight and under artificial light, across more than one tester when shade range is at issue. Samples sent by brands are disclosed and change nothing. Unopened products are never rated, and a launch does not get covered simply because it was couriered.

When a reformulation makes an old verdict wrong, the review is updated with a dated note rather than quietly rewritten.
