LOS ANGELES, CA, USA, April 13, 2023/EINPresswire.com/ — ‘Legend of Tarzan’ actor Antony Acheampong has signed on for two American projects shooting stateside. The native Brit, who also made memorable appearances in ‘The Huntsman: Winter’s War’ and ‘Of Kings and Prophets.’
Acheampong will start filming in Oklahoma and then Florida, in the coming months.
As is being frequently noted, the industry finds itself wanting to increase opportunities for diverse artists but still facing challenges in doing so in an equitable manner.
Acheampong’s casting reinforces the importance and continual efforts of American producers at marrying exceptional talent with world-class filmmakers.
Acheampong, who notably worked with 6-time Oscar nominated filmmaker Jim Sheridan, Oscar-nominee Rooney Mara and ‘White Lotus’ star Theo James on ‘The Secret Scripture’, is one of the few British stars who have accrued international credits in a market that is traditionally reserved for Americans.
Producers remain tight-lipped but our editors have been advised the projects will likely be hitting the awards-circuit come 2024.
In the first project, Acheampong will play what is described by producers as a hilarious take on cultural conflicts in small-town Oklahoma. Acheampong will play a series-regular role of ‘Damascus.’
Acheampong’s other project comes from filmmakers experienced in studio and web3 development, to be filmed in Florida.
