I strongly recommend Facebuilding as a way of staying young and looking better. There are a number of surgical, medical, and chemical ways of keeping your face looking good and Fernando's DVD is the most natural, healthy, and long-term beneficial way to stay young with exercises. If you have tried facelifts, chemical peels, pastes, gels, botox injections, etc., you know that all of them are short-term and unnatural. Facebuilding is the way to go. It is your own secret fountain of youth!

I own all the different facial exercise DVD's currently on the market. I believe Carole Maggio's Facercise, Face Aerobics by Judith Olivia, and the Tal Reinhart program to be far superior than this poorly produced DVD. Although those 3 programs also have their pros and cons the "Stay Young with Facebuilding" DVD is tedious to use at best. You can not go to one particular exercise if you need extra work in that area like you can with all the other programs. No, you are forced to have to sit and fast forward through the whole DVD until you get to that particular exercise. I also believe that the actual exercises themselves are not particularly well executed. Save your money on this one! If you can afford it, buy all the 3 programs above and use one every day and you will be well on your way to getting the results you are looking for. Good luck.

This is Umberto Eco at his most restrained, and yet he remains profound. The breathtaking range of photos and their sequence speak for themselves, and his comments add immeasurably. This is a book which I will not keep on the shelf, but instead on my desk for frequent reference, refreshment and inspiration.

Only Umberto Eco could write a book that defines beauty through the ages of western culture as this one does. He looks at the great contemporary writers for insight into the great contemprary artists. Umberto brings Plato to the front to explain early Greek art, and brings in Hume to explain humanist style. It is a classical book that should be used in colleges to not only introduce people to art but to thinking about art and words. The color plates are wonderful. What I wish is that the Italian CDrom was available in English. One can see from the style used that this book was a great interactive CDrom.

Reading Umberto's insights and looking at great art..what a wonderful way to spend a morning at starbucks!

An historical view of what moves "the eye of the beholder"., December 1, 2004

Dostoyevsky once observed that "beauty is the battlefield where God and the devil war for the soul of man". In History of Beauty Umberto Eco provides an historical context to how that battlefield has changed over the past 3000 years or so.

This is a sumptuous, unusually high quality coffee table book. While its over 400 photographs are extremely engaging, the introductions and essays Eco provides are absorbing and just as illuminating as the pictures. Eco lists himself as editor, but that is false modesty. His writing here is excellent, erudite and informative and provides a lot of food for thought as one peruses the visuals.

As is to be expected from Eco, his essays cite philosopher that run the gamut from Aristotle and Plato through to Xenophon (though I did not see any Dostoyevsky references though that dark soul was seemingly compulsive about the mesmerizing qualities of beauty) and thusly provide an all encompassing review of differing concepts of what is beautiful by both geographically and chronologically.

This is a rich, beautiful book that will please the dedicated reader as well as the casual surfer who might flip through it.

If you want to upgrade the ambiance of your coffee table, this would be an excellent choice.

I am a Chinese and has more than 10 years' experience of drinking tea.
This Ta Hung Pao (means: big red robe) is OK at this price since you don't have much choice in US. A high end Ta hung pao is often green with dark red edge. This is a kind of very cheap one. Actually its cost may not exceed 6 bucks in China. But it still has the golden ring if you brew it correctly which is a symbol of quality.
To brew this tea correctly,
1.you have to use a pot.
2.Warm it and fill it halfly with tealeaf.
3.Pour in 95-100 C degree water until immerse tea leaves. Wait for 10-15 secs, steep and discard the tea.
4.Pour in 95-100 c degree water again.
5.Wait for 1 min and serve.
You can have the second steep with longer brew time. Normally from 1:30 to 2:00. The third steep may be OK but it won't last for the forth.

This is a very good oolong tea with very plesant fragrance and sweetness, It is especially good for the people new to green tea and not quite used to the pungent grassy taste of green tea. The tea is amber color, with a very nice taste and delicious sweet aftertaste.

Oolong tea is very helpful in digestion. It is widely drunk in Fujian China, and Japan. And it becomes more and more popular all around the China. Oolong has so many different other names: Wu-Lung, Wu-long. It is really the same thing, just different pronunciation from different parts of China (Mandarin, Taiwanese, or Cantonese). The premium oolong can be extremely expensive, most for its fragrance, color, sweetness, where grown or when picked. It can cost over $200 for just 1 oz (you won't see them out of China though). But if you are really for green tea healthy benefit or oolong's natural slimming effect, this is an excellent inexpensive wuyi oolong tea!
It has very nice complexity. The long lasting gentle sweetness is very plesant. To prepare, I added 1 tea spoon to Bodum Assam Tea Press (4-Cup). You can prepare at least 3 times out of that 1 tea spoon. Comparing to tea bags, this is a bargain. If you drink oolong for natural slimming, you really need to drink it every days. I have been drinking oolong tea for lowering my cholestrol level and weight control. This is one of the better taste oolong tea available at pretty good price!

Horrible and dangerous, September 26, 2009

I only used these twice and the second time I clipped off a whole chunk of skin off my little baby's pinky finger! It bled for 20 minutes and was a terrible experience. I was trying to be so careful but it's very hard to see what you are doing and obviously those blades are incredibly sharp to do that much damage with a gentle press. I will NEVER use these again and am currently searching for a better product.

For the first few weeks I used my sister's clippers for my baby and I had no problems. Then I went and bought this brand, thinking the American red cross has to know safety, right? Well, in about the same amount of time have cut my daughter's finger three times! As far as I can tell, the problem is that the plastic white barrier which seems to be designed to protect baby's skin, actually gets in the way. It doesn't push back the skin like you could with your finger to ensure a clean cut. Also, the metal lever slips occasionally which gives you less control. Am now in the market for something with a better grip and no barrier.
